Poilievre lost his Carleton riding, which he'd held for nearly 21 years, in April’s federal election. The results of the byelection are expected to come in around 8:30 p.m. Saskatchewan time.
Albertans living in the federal riding of Battle River-Crowfoot will soon have a new member of Parliament as they prepare to vote in Monday's byelection. Prime Minister Mark Carney called the byelection in June after Conservative MP Damien Kurek stepped down from his seat so Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre could run.
Polls are open from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday. For more information on where to vote or how to cast a ballot, head to www.elections.ca.
