The Buffalo Bills practiced without two offensive weapons and both starting tackles while also listing QB Josh Allen on the official Week 13 injury report
The Buffalo Bills signed veteran receiver Brandin Cooks before Sunday's crucial AFC showdown with Pittsburgh Steelers, seeking offensive spark after recent struggles.
The NFL announced Wednesday that Allen was one of 32 nominees across the league to be nominated for the award after winning it for the first time following his 2024 MVP campaign. Ironically, as Allen and the Bills prepare to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13, he is vying for the award named after the Steelers' legendary founder.
Representing the Bills is quarterback Josh Allen, one of just four QBs nominated this year, alongside Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers, and Los Angeles Rams' Matthew Stafford. More news: Major Bill Belichick Update Emerges Amid Potential NFL Coaching Return
Here are seven things to know about the new Bills wide receiver: Cooks was introduced as a household name in the NFL as a first-round pick by the New Orleans Saints during the 2014 NFL draft. Cooks, 32, attended Oregon State. Thus far in his career, Cooks has 729 catches for 9,697 yards with 60 touchdowns in 168 games played (147 starts).
Khalil Shakir is the Bills' leading receiver with 564 yards, but that ranks No. 32 in the NFL. Curtis Samuel missed the Week 12 upset loss to the Texans with elbow and neck injuries, Mecole Hardman missed that same game with a calf injury and then former No. 33 overall pick Keon Coleman has been made a healthy scratch in each of the last two weeks.
Joe Brady's critics apparently aren't the only folks who disagree with the Buffalo Bills' offensive game planning and play calling.
