Delta Air Lines is allowing SkyMiles members and employees to vote for its new 2026 Mediterranean destination, choosing between Ibiza, Malta, and Sardinia, with results announced 30 days post-vote.
Italy is Delta’s fastest-growing European market. Between summer 2024 and summer 2025, Delta has added more than 180,000 two-way seats, a 15% year-on-year rise. Delta now operates 13 U.S.–Italy routes, with a 28.1% share of the overall U.S.–Italy market, ahead of United at 23% and American at 20.6%.
In a playful take on selecting its new summer service lineup, Delta Air Lines has put at least some of the decision making directly into the hands of its fliers. Added bonus: none of the three destinations currently have nonstop service from the U.

Beginning August 25th through August 29th, SkyMiles members and Delta employees can vote using the Fly Delta App for one of the three European destinations – Sardinia, Malta, and Ibiza – for next summer. Delta will announce the winning destination within 30 days after voting closes.
