Westbound I-70 reopened near Dotsero after a grass fire closed the highway, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The interstate closed between the Dotsero exit, exit 133, and Bair Ranch exit, exit 129, due to the safety concerns and reopened about 9:40 a.m.

The fire about 15 miles north of Dotsero was sparked by lightning on Saturday and has since grown to nearly 850 acres.
