India witnessed rare aviation turbulence after volcanic ash from Ethiopia’s Hayli Gubbi volcano, dormant for nearly 10,000 years, surged across international air routes and entered the country’s airspace.
The weather service noted that the cloud is poised to enter Gujarat from the west and will advance toward Rajasthan, northwest Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab by around 10 pm. It is also likely to affect regions across the Himalayan belt later tonight, ANI added.
Twelve historical artefacts have been formally returned to Ethiopia after being kept by a Germany family for more than 100 years. The artefacts, originally collected in the 1920s by Germany's then-envoy to Ethiopia Franz Weiss and his wife Hedwig, were handed over on Wednesday to the Institute of Ethiopian Studies at Addis Ababa University.
