Israel and Hamas have traded blame for what both call violations of the U.S.-brokered truce, the first stage of President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan for a post-war Gaza.

At least 24 Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded in a series of Israeli strikes in Gaza. The Israeli military said it was responding after an armed terrorist shot at troops in Southern Gaza.

Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola did not say who South Africa believed had organized the chartered plane that arrived in Johannesburg on Thursday with 153 Palestinians, but his comments were seen as accusing Israel of being behind a campaign to remove people from the Palestinian territories and send them to other countries.
