A blaze erupted aboard a container ship holding hazardous materials Friday night in the Port of Los Angeles, prompting the response of more than 100 firefighters. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) says that as of 8:34 p.m. PT, all crew members are accounted for, with no injuries reported.

An electrical fire broke out below deck on a cargo ship docked in the Port of Los Angeles on the evening of Nov. 21. The Los Angeles Fire Department called the incident a 'major emergency' and said that more than 180 emergency workers were called to assist.

A fire that broke out on a Ocean Network Express (ONE) operated container ship over the weekend is still burning, although its has been “substantially contained”, the Port of Los Angeles said in its latest press statement.
