Former Dallas Mavericks phenom Luka Doncic survived an injury scare from last week, and will be ready to suit up against Great Britain in Tuesday’s EuroBasket matchup, per NBA insider Marc Stein.

The Dallas Mavericks stunned the entire NBA world last season when they traded Luka Doncic to the L.A. Lakers in exchange for Anthony Davis. This included Doncic himself, who was blindsided by the move and had no idea about Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison's plans to trade him.

The Dallas Mavericks will look different heading into the 2025-26 NBA season. All-Star guard Kyrie Irving won’t be available for most of the campaign, as he’s recovering from a torn ACL injury.

The phenom point guard has led his franchise to just its third appearance in the NBA Finals, where the Mavericks lost the opening game to the Boston Celtics despite 30 points from Doncic.

Luka was the lone athlete who LeBron tried to recruit to his sneaker brand, but Doncic ultimately chose Jordan Brand. Still, he's on record saying James was his idol growing up, and they share the same offensive playstyle as well as team. It all makes for a difficult decision.
