A winter storm is expected to move through Minnesota over the next two days, leaving behind what will likely be the Twin Cities' first measurable snowfall of the season.

Minnesota's first winter storm of the season will roll in Tuesday afternoon, bringing wind, snow and a sharp temperature drop that will make travel difficult.

But even if the heaviest snow doesn't materialize in southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities, the warning has also been expanded because gusty winds of up to 45 mph could create potentially hazardous, blizzard-like conditions on the roads.
