USA Today's Ayrton Ostly recently put together a mock draft for the 2026 NFL Draft. Given Shough's breakout performance, Ostly projected the Saints would pass on a quarterback and select star edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. from the University of Miami.

Between a failed fourth-and-goal play, two missed field goals and a botched third-down play from the 1-yard line that left New Orleans settling for a field goal, the Saints had plenty of regret as they reviewed their 24-10 loss to Atlanta.

One of the kickers the Saints are working out is five-time All-Pro Justin Tucker. The 36-year-old recently became eligible to play after serving his 10-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy following multiple allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior.
