M ore than 750 public health workers sent a letter to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on Wednesday, urging him to “stop spreading inaccurate health information” and guarantee employees’ safety, in the wake of a shooting at the headquarters of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) earlier this month.

More than 750 current and former staffers at the US Department of Health and Human Services implored Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. in a letter Wednesday to “stop spreading inaccurate health information” after a shooter fired hundreds of rounds at the headquarters of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier this month.

They also said his statements and actions had sowed mistrust in public institutions that contributed to the recent shooting at the CDC.
