President Donald Trump’s top negotiator in Ukraine appeared like a deer in headlights discussing what the president had achieved in his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday.

"We are seeing accommodation more than we've seen in the past, certainly more than we saw in the last administration," Witkoff said. "And that's encouraging. Now we have to build on that."

President Trump will not be meeting Russia's Putin one-on-one on Friday. He will be accompanied by Marco Rubio and Steve Witkoff.
