The Boston Bruins suffered a 4-3 road loss to the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday. Boston struggled out of the gates as the Ducks got out to a 2-0 lead before Morgan Geekie scored on the power play. Geekie then scored again to tie the game 3-3,

Sturm has yet to play in 2025-26 and is on injured reserve due to a long-term back injury. He is expected to return to the lineup before the end of November. Once he's able to suit up, he'll slot into a bottom-six role, which could see Ben Jones be a healthy scratch or relegated to the minors.

Morgan Gibbs-White missed a first-half penalty as an injury-hit Nottingham Forest failed to find a way through Sturm Graz in the Europa League. Manager Sean Dyche was forced into making seven changes to the side that drew with Manchester United on Saturday but Forest had numerous opportunities to take the lead.
