TEXAS (KAUZ) - According to the Office of Governor Greg Abbott, 31 immigrant drivers were apprehended along I-40 last week. The Office of the Governor said the 31 were apprehended on Tuesday, November 11, in a one-day, joint commercial vehicle enforcement operation by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and federal law enforcement.

Even with the increasing challenges of accessing public records, Leatherbury and Pillifant were stumped by the governor’s decision to release thousands of pages only to black them out fully. Leatherbury said that the governor’s office may have wanted to show the volume of records responsive to the request.
