Here's an updated look at the men's college basketball top 25 following the release of the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and AP Top 25:

The new AP Top 25 women's college basketball poll is out. The Michigan Wolverines, up eight spots, and the TCU Horned Frogs, up seven, both vaulted into the top 10. The West Virginia Mountaineers moved into the poll this week after defeating the then-No. 15 Duke Blue Devils on Friday. Duke fell out of the Top 25.

Virginia Tech should be glad it lost 34-14 at Florida State, even if that means it is back in the Bottom 25 this week. Had the Hokies waltzed into Doak Campbell Stadium and defeated the Seminoles, it would have dropped FSU to 4-6 and may have increased Mike Norvell's chances of getting fired before the end of the season.

Rarely does the No. 1 team in the AP Top 25 poll lose its spot atop the rankings despite not losing, but that could happen for a second consecutive week entering Week 3 of the young season. In fact, I'm predicting exactly that come Monday.

The No. 10 Texas Longhorns, led by quarterback Arch Manning, face the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs, led by Gunner Stockton, on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025 at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga.
