Arman Tsarukyan promises ‘nothing personal’ against Ilia Topuria but ‘I know I can beat him so easy’
Arman Tsarukyan knew he was going to get bombarded with questions about UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria ahead of his fight against Dan Hooker so he largely downplayed the rivalry and stayed focused on the task at hand.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Arman Tsarukyan claimed that if he doesn’t receive his UFC win bonus, he loses money when he competes. The lightweight contender claimed that he receives $150,000 as his base amount, which after tax and paying for his training camps, leaves him with nothing.
Makhachev (28-1 MMA, 17-1 UFC) dominated Jack Della Maddalena (18-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) to claim the welterweight belt this past Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York. Tsarukyan (22-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC), who was lined up to challenge Makhachev for the lightweight title at UFC 311 before withdrawing, had high praise for his former foe.
