Rave belted his fourth career homer off White Sox starter Sean Burke in the third inning. He saw two curveballs before connecting on a 93.9 mph fastball. It was his first home run at Kauffman Stadium. He has hit safely in his last five games with an at-bat.

Kansas City Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino exited Saturday’s game against the Chicago White Sox with a heat-related illness. In the first inning, Pasquantino was checked out by Royals manager Matt Quatraro and the training staff during his first at-bat. He appeared to feel discomfort while at the plate against White Sox starter Sean Burke.

Lorenzen missed 25 games with a left oblique injury. He was sidelined prior to the All-Star Break after he aggravated his oblique while batting a sickness. The Royals made the decision to allow the injury discomfort to subside in recent weeks.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — White Sox starter Davis Martin took a no-hitter into the sixth inning Sunday in Kansas City, but a stagnant offense and wilting bullpen let it go to waste as the Royals came back for a 6-2 win and the series sweep.
