Winnipeggers are being urged to brace for severe winter conditions on Wednesday, caused by a strong Alberta Clipper weather system. A blizzard with gusty winds and blowing snow are expected to create extremely low visibility for those outside.

Londoners are once again advised to take care on the roads as the region braces for another blast of winter weather.

Just after a strong winter storm blanketed areas of the Northeast in snow, another fast-moving system will bring a mixture of rain and snow blended with a blast of arctic air that will usher in below-average temperatures along much of the East Coast to start off the New Year.

A meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Grand Forks said Sunday’s storm didn’t reach the wind speeds of the area’s first blizzard of the season.
