JavaScript remains the most used programming language among developers, but Python is the most studied – and Go the one that most coders want to switch to.

But Python is not the only option for programming machine learning applications. There’s a growing community of developers who are using JavaScript to run machine learning models.

Python has become the most popular programming language on GitHub, while the use of Jupyter Notebooks has also soared, according to GitHub’s Octoverse 2024 report.
