Millions of American workers are getting a pay raise starting January 1, 2026, as 22 states increase their minimum wages — some by as much as $1.50 per hour. That’s over $3,000 more per year for full-time workers.

The 43-cent increase continues the steady climb that began under Gov. Phil Murphy, with different rates for agricultural workers, home health aides and tipped employees.
