MN weather: Early snow totals from Sunday’s storm
We’re starting to get early snowfall reports from Sunday’s winter storm. So far the winner is just west of the Twin Cities metro.
A winter storm watch has been issued in the Twin Cities, where heavy snow is expected to fall across much of Sunday, while strong winds could bring blizzard conditions to central parts of Minnesota.
Gusty winds, blowing snow, and icy road conditions continue to make for hazardous travel conditions across the Twin Cities and much of southern Minnesota, even as a powerhouse storm that dropped several inches of snow Dec. 28 begins winding down.
FOX 9 Meteorologist Sean Macaday has the latest on a winter storm across much of Minnesota. After heavy snow, we have blizzard-like conditions Sunday night into Monday morning, and bitter cold to start the week.
A winter storm watch is expected to start at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9. It covers central Minnesota, including St. Cloud and Sartell.
