Blizzard conditions are rapidly worsening in southern Minnesota, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation has responded by issuing no-travel advisories for all of southwest and south-central counties.

MN weather: Snowstorm leads to hundreds of crashes
The Minnesota State Patrol is asking the public to delay or cancel travel plans after the winter storm caused hundreds of crashes statewide.
As of Dec. 29, the St. Cloud area saw between 3.6 inches to 6 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. Six inches was recorded in Luxemburg, which is south of St. Augusta, and 3.6 inches was reported in part of Rice, which is north of Sartell.
Saturday will see mild temperatures after a foggy start to the morning. Sunday's winter storm will move in to finish the weekend, with winter storm watches in effect for Minnesota and Wisconsin.

MN weather: Early snow totals from Sunday’s storm
We’re starting to get early snowfall reports from Sunday’s winter storm. So far the winner is just west of the Twin Cities metro.
Though the snowstorm that lashed Minnesota on Sunday has wrapped up, road conditions were still challenging Monday morning.
