The Amazon-owned streamer has ordered a new series in the beloved sci-fi franchise. The show, titled Stargate, comes from Amazon MGM Studios (which owns rights to the franchise) and creator and showrunner Martin Gero, who has worked as a writer and producer on the three previous live-action Stargate shows.

Stargate Universe, the beloved sci-fi franchise is coming back thanks to Amazon. The mega-corp acquired the rights to the entire franchise when it bought out MGM in 2022, and ever since, there’ve been rumblings of a new series coming to Amazon Prime Video.

A new Stargate show is coming to Prime Video. The showrunner is Martin Gero, who previously worked on the franchise.

South Korea has agreed to work with the United Arab Emirates on the U.S.-backed Stargate project to build a massive new artificial intelligence data campus in the Gulf country, Seoul said on Tuesday.

The final building under construction at the Stargate AI data center campus in Abilene, Texas, has been topped out. Crusoe, which is developing the site and leasing it to Oracle and OpenAI, announced the news on LinkedIn.
