It was as painful a loss as they've suffered this season, dropping to 11-4 and relinquishing their lead in the NFC West, as well as giving up control of the No. 1 seed.

Seattle won the toss in overtime and elected to kick off to start the extra period. Although running back Ronnie Rivers returned the ensuing kickoff 41 yards to the Rams' 48, the Rams' return unit was called for holding, and they were forced to start the drive from their own 20 instead.

The Seahawks took control of the NFC West with a touchdown and two-point conversion in overtime to beat the Rams in an instant classic.

The Rams blew a 16-point fourth-quarter lead, choking away the game against the Seahawks and potentially surrendering the No. 1 seed.
