Injury Report: Al Horford set to miss time with sciatic injury
The Warriors are set to be without the veteran center for at least the next three games due to a right sciatic nerve irritation injury.
ESPN’s Anthony Slater confirms the report while adding that the injury is being classified as right sciatic nerve irritation ( Twitter link ). Slater notes that Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that Horford will miss at least three games.

Al Horford’s uneven start with the Warriors hit another snag this weekend when the former Celtics center was sidelined with a back injury. The Warriors announced that Horford would miss at least the next three games due to a right sciatic nerve irritation.
Veteran center Al Horford exited Friday’s 127–123 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers with right hamstring tightness, according to ESPN’s Anthony Slater, and was later ruled day-to-day. Warriors coach Steve Kerr confirmed Horford is “unavailable” but acknowledged he did not know the extent of the injury.
Golden State may end up regretting their decision to bring Al Horford into the squad this summer. This past offseason, Horford left the Boston Celtics after spending a total of seven seasons with the team over two different stints.
