Alaska Airlines is getting into the industry's race for high-end credit cards and creating a combined frequent flyer program, called Atmos Rewards, with Hawaiian Airlines, which it acquired last year.

ATMOS is the new mileage reward program or a combined Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines merger for this Seattle, Washington-based carrier, and member of the oneworld. No mileage program would be profitable without a branded credit card.
