The New Orleans Saints have found a new kicker. On Monday, reports surfaced that New Orleans was looking around for a kicker to potentially replace Blake Grupe. The three-year veteran has struggled this season and went 18-for-26 on field goals throughout the first 11 games of the season for New Orleans.

Blake Grupe was named a team captain coming into the 2025 season after a strong training camp, but his ongoing struggles have forced the team's hand at the position.

In a corresponding move, the Saints are signing former LSU Tigers kicker Cade York, per a report by Nick Underhill. York was most recently with the Cincinnati Bengals. He will join kicker Charlie Smyth, who was signed through the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program (IPPP) in 2024, on the Saints practice squad.

After workouts this week, the Saints are releasing Blake Grupe and signing former LSU Tiger Cade York to address their kicking situation, according to Katherine Terrell of ESPN.
