Chargers running back Omarion Hampton said Wednesday that he was sidelined by a previously undisclosed left ankle fracture but said he is hopeful he'll play Sunday against Las Vegas.

The Los Angeles Chargers and Omarion Hampton, who hasn't played since Week 5, will square off against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13 on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET. In his last game, Hampton put up the following stats: 12 carries, 44 yards; 6 receptions, 26 yards.

Although the Los Angeles Chargers' backfield has been devastated by injuries this season, it could be the best move to give Najee Harris another shot.
