A 14-year-old is dead and 8 others were injured in a pair of shootings in downtown Chicago on Friday night, police said.

A 14-year-old boy who was killed in downtown Chicago shootings that left eight others injured has now been identified. Mayor Brandon Johnson sat down exclusively with ABC7 to talk about the recent violence.

One unidentified male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Northwestern Hospital. An 18-year-old man was wounded in the leg and hospitalized in serious condition.
