Hamas says it will return the body of an Israeli hostage Tuesday, part of last month’s fragile ceasefire that has held despite Israeli strikes on Gaza, mounting Palestinian casualties, and mutual accusations of violations.
According to Gaza's Health Ministry, more than 300 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli fire and nearly 900 injured since the ceasefire agreement went into effect on Oct. 10.
Israeli forces killed three Palestinians in Gaza near the line demarcating areas of Israeli control, underlining the struggle to broaden a fragile ceasefire deal.
A second former Israeli hostage has reported alleged sexual abuse in Hamas detention. This comes as numerous Palestinians have also spoken out on the alleged sexual abuse at Israeli prisons. NBC News’ Hala Gorani reports on his account of abuse.
