I replaced my MacBook with an iPad Pro M4—here’s what actually worked (and what didn’t)
Macworld As a minimalist, I’ve long wanted to replace the 13-inch MacBook Air M2 I use for work with a slimmer and more portable iPad. Following the iPad Pro M5’s debut, I came across a heavily discounted M4 model.
With barely any gap between the iPad Pro M4 and M5, the cheaper option makes way more sense.
This upgrade will happen later in the year, but according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has its eyes on the iPad mini to be its next major product to make the transition. Apple first introduced OLED to the iPad Pro back in early 2024 with the M4 model, after bringing it to the iPhone lineup starting in 2017.
