Iga Swiatek has confirmed her participation in today’s US Open mixed doubles event despite a rapid turnaround from her victory at the Cincinnati Open on Monday night. The Polish star, who won Wimbledon last month, did not drop a set all week in Cincinnati and defeated Jasmine Paolini 7-5 6-4 to lay down a marker ahead of the US Open.

A month later, Iga Swiatek won her first Cincinnati Open title, and a day later she flew to New York to compete in the US Open mixed doubles tournament. Much like the ATP’s Cincinnati Open winner Carlos Alcaraz, Swiatek has had a busy past two days.

Iga Swiatek shrugged off weariness to partner Casper Ruud to an opening victory in the revamped mixed doubles competition at the US Open on Tuesday.
