Liverpool have received a boost in their pursuit of Alexander Isak as reporter Craig Hope has dropped a huge update. Isak continues to be linked with a stunning move to Liverpool as the new Premier League campaign kicked off last Friday.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that Liverpool have informed Newcastle that if no agreement is reached by the end of this week, they will turn their attention to other targets. Isak was notably absent from the Newcastle squad for the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa earlier on Saturday.
