In a one-for-one contract swap, the Mets are sending 10-year veteran Brandon Nimmo to the Texas Rangers for Gold Glove second baseman Marcus Semien. The Mets gave Nimmo the weekend to decide whether he wanted to waive his no-trade clause or not and after two days of deliberations and a discussion with Jacob deGrom, he agreed.
