Thanks to the controller grips, the Xbox Ally sits comfortably in the hand. Microsoft has also worked on comfort on the software side.
Today, Microsoft announced the official release date for the ROG Xbox Ally (it's October 16th), but neglected to mention anything about price or pre-orders, stating that more information on those would be revealed in the coming weeks.
The most notable difference between the Xbox Ally and the Steam Deck is the operating system. Like the ROG Ally, the Xbox Ally will also use Windows 11, while the Steam Deck uses Valve's SteamOS.
