Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is headed back to Ottawa this fall after winning a byelection in Alberta’s Battle River-Crowfoot riding.

Pierre Poilievre will return to the House of Commons after a resounding victory in the Aug. 18 Battle River—Crowfoot by-election. Of the 85,736 registered voters, 50,434 cast ballots. Poilievre received 40,548 votes — or 80.4 per cent.

After a summer of rodeos, dinosaurs and door-knocking, Pierre Poilievre is now officially heading back to Ottawa as a Conservative member of Parliament for Alberta. The Tory leader will represent the sprawling rural riding of Battle River—Crowfoot after winning a byelection on Monday with more than 80 per cent of the vote.
