San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Robbie Ray earned his tenth win of the season with 6 2/3 strong innings on Monday night at Petco Park. Ray finished with six strikeouts and gave up three hits and three runs in his team's 4-3 win.

The Giants’ trade for Robbie Ray required a bit of long-term vision. When the deal with the Mariners was announced in January 2024, Ray was in the middle of a grueling rehab from Tommy John and flexor tendon surgery.

Ray (9-6) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings to take the loss versus the Padres on Tuesday.

He is slated to pitch for the Giants on Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ray, 33, is 9-3 with a 2.63 ERA in 19 starts this season. He won the 2021 AL Cy Young Award with the Toronto Blue Jays.
