Russia lauched hundreds of missles and drones at Ukraine in an overnight attack, the Ukrainian air force said on Thursday. The attack, which killed at least one person, is the largest Russia has launched in weeks and comes amid US-led efforts to kickstart peace talks between Moscow and Kyiv.

The Ukrainian air force said the majority of the attack came via drones, with 574 launched by Russia. The rest of the attack involved ballistic or cruise missiles. The air force said it had shot down or suppressed 577 drones and missiles.
