Two West Virginia National Guardsmen were shot in an ambush-style attack near a Metro station just a few blocks from the White House this afternoon. FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed both victims are in critical condition.

The state governor says he has received "conflicting reports" about their condition, after earlier saying both had died.
