Minnesota had the game in the bag until two turnovers and a pair of missed free throws killed them in Phoenix.

Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks has been fined $35,000 for "confronting and directing inappropriate language toward game officials" following the team's 114-113 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night.

The ball pressure did. Minnesota was stiff enough defensively to force 28 turnovers Friday. At the same time, Phoenix took advantage of Minnesota’s propensity to overhelp and rotate poorly on that end, which allowed the Suns to generate a number of open looks. Phoenix shot 48% from the field, including 45% from distance.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were defeated by the Phoenix Suns on Friday night, 114-113, after Collin Gillespie made a go-ahead jumper with 6.4 seconds left in the game.

When Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore took over the Timberwolves and the Lynx’s ownership after a long, drawn-out battle, several rumors circulated. One of them included moving the team to Seattle, a city where Rodriguez played professional basketball.

The Timberwolves are 4-2 in the last six games and 6-2 since Anthony Edwards return. While the record is impressive, Minnesota has beaten Washington, Dallas, Sacramento twice, and Utah twice with losses to Denver and New York. Minnesota actually hasn’t beaten a team with a winning record yet and can with a road game at Phoenix next.
