Canada’s annual inflation rate slowed to 2.2% in October, down from 2.4% in September, as petrol prices continued to decline, Statistics Canada reported Monday. The drop was driven by cheaper winter fuel blends and lower crude prices tied to global oversupply concerns. Petrol fell 9.4% year over year after a 4.1% decrease the month before.
