It is walking back levies on imports including beef and coffee in what critics say is an admission that tariffs raised prices in the first place.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday to get rid of tariffs on a broad swath of commodities, including beef, coffee and tropical fruits.

“President Trump is finally admitting what we always knew: his tariffs are raising prices for the American people,” Virginia Democratic Rep. Don Beyer said in a statement.
