It was a subtle shift made by the Boston Celtics to switch Payton Pritchard from shooting guard to the point, but the results appear to be paying off for the Celtics in recent games. Both Pritchard and fellow Boston guard Derrick White have been playing better, their early-season slumps improving if not quite going away entirely just yet.
In fact, during a recent sideline interview, Xavier Tillman dubbed Walsh "The King of the Lockdown" due to the stifling defense he's been providing when his number gets called. The former second-round pick has played in 11 games this season, averaging 4.5 points and 4.1 rebounds, shooting 48.8% from the field and 41.2% from deep.
The Nets come into this game following a 129-105 win at the Washington Wizards on Sunday in which Brooklyn was able to use spurts in the second and fourth quarters to put away Washington long before the final buzzer sounded.
Even though the Clippers were relentless down the stretch, the Celtics never let them get the lead Sunday in their clutch victory.
