Boxer Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has been deported to Mexico, where he’s wanted for alleged cartel ties, following his arrest in the U.S. for overstaying his visa and lying on a green card application.

Former world boxing champion Julio César Chávez Jr. has been detained in Mexico, where he is wanted for alleged cartel ties after being deported from the U.S.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum previously said she expected Chavez Jr to be deported to Mexico to serve a sentence for arms trafficking and organized crime.
