FAA lifts order slashing flights, allowing commercial airlines to resume their regular schedules
The Federal Aviation Administration said Sunday it is lifting all restrictions on commercial flights that were imposed at 40 major airports during the country's longest government shutdown. The announcement was made in a joint statement by Transportation Secretary Sean P.
The restrictions will be lifted Monday, transportation authorities said, after mandating cuts during the shutdown that caused thousands of cancellations and delays.
The Federal Aviation Administration late Sunday said it would end mandated cuts in domestic flights at 40 major U.S. airports effective at 6 a.m. ET (1000 GMT) Monday, easing restrictions that had been imposed over air traffic control concerns during the federal shutdown.
