Police in Airdrie, Alta., say a 12-year-old boy escaped from the vehicle of an abductor that he and a group of other children had arranged to meet as part of an online "catch a predator scheme."

AIRDRIE — Alberta RCMP say they have arrested and charged a Calgary man who, it was later determined, had been the focus of a “catch a predator” sting operation hatched by a group of youngsters.

A Calgary man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged child abduction in Airdrie earlier this week.
