P resident Donald Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during their meeting Monday at the White House he doesn’t think Russia and Ukraine need a ceasefire agreement repeating a stance he adopted after his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday.
The meeting also is a test of America’s relationship with its closest allies after the European Union and United Kingdom accepted Trump’s tariff hikes.
The president rolled out the red carpet for the authoritarian leader, who apparently took it as a sign of respect.
