P HILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers got back at it on Tuesday with an NBA Cup matchup with the Orlando Magic. The Sixers entered the contest missing a number of key pieces such as Joel Embiid, Paul George, VJ Edgecombe, and Kelly Oubre Jr. which made this contest an uphill climb for Philadelphia.
Philadelphia were non-competitive against Orlando, and nowhere near the resilient team they have been for most of the season.
Joel Embiid has not played since Nov. 8, and of what will now be eight consecutive absences, the last seven will be caused by an issue the Sixers continually characterize as day-to-day.

Tyrese Maxey once again led the Sixers in scoring, though this time it felt like by default. He went for 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting as well as four rebounds and an assist. Easily the best news of the night was Jared McCain building on a good performance, finishing with 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting. Anthony Black led all scorers with 31.
