The woman convicted of brutally stabbing her sixth-grade classmate to please the fictional horror character "Slender Man" was apprehended in Illinois after having left her Wisconsin group home with a 43-year-old man, officials said.

Police in suburban Chicsago said they captured Morgan Geyser on Sunday night, 165 miles from the Wisconsin group home where she disappeared one day earlier.

Morgan Geyser, who in 2014 stabbed a friend 19 times to appease the fictional character "Slender Man," allegedly told officers who asked for her identity to "just Google" her.
