Shares of BJ's Wholesale climbed more than 2%, while Gap stock jumped 5.5%. Intuit shares climbed 3.5%, as Ross Stores gained 3%. Finally, Veeva stock plunged more than 7% in premarket action.
Shares of Dow Inc. rallied 5.97% to $22.20 Friday, on what proved to be an all-around positive trading session for the stock market, with the S&P 500 Index rising 0.98% to 6,602.99 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 1.

U.S. stock futures traded higher Friday, a session after the wheels fell out of a market reacting to Nvidia's latest forecasts and surprisingly strong payrolls growth. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 0.5% to 46064
Dow Inc. remains under pressure from weak demand, with Q3 net sales down 8% YoY and its flagship segment facing the steepest declines. Despite revenue weakness, DOW demonstrated strong cash flow improvements through better working capital management.
Traders at first cheered Thursday morning, sending all three major stock indexes sharply higher. At one point, the Dow Jones was up more than 700 points. But by late morning, the rally started to wear off, and sentiment – and markets – turned sharply negative by midday.
